The Circle of Red Rose Pendant

One-of-a-Kind: A sterling silver circle has a hand-pierced rose that is backed up by a copper circle providing the pastel and ink pencils* of red.  A hammered sterling silver bail is large enough for most chains.  The pendant measures 2-3/8” x 2” including the bail.

All pendants come with an 18 inch leather cord with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp.  If you would prefer a 16”, 20” or 24” cord, please email me at bernadettes11@gmail.com before shipping. The bails are also designed to fit your own chain or cord.

* Colored pencils on copper is a labor-intensive process.  First the copper must be very “roughed up” with a titanium sanding bit.  The next step is to patina the copper with a green or black chemical patina or gesso (a special acrylic paint used by artists to texture their work). Then you apply the colored pencils in layers alternating with layers of a matte lacquer.  Finally, a coat of matte or shiny lacquer is applied.
